A Cultural Gem of the Rockies: Celebrating 30 Years of the Best Roots Music

Hoping to find players to get together to jam with, been nowhere near as easy as I had hoped around SwH. Informal/non-pro guitar player interested in playing and learning songs, love all stringed instruments. Tech Center/Highlands Ranch area, but don't hold it against me. Thanks......Tom.

Hey Tom-

what types of music are you most intersted in? I too would like to do some jamming but I don't really do the folk thing- more interested in classic rock and some newer artists. Can/do people just hang out at Swallow and jam?

Help...Can't really tell whom I'm replying to. Chris: thanks, I'm aware of the schedules, also explored the "unused music room" route, didn't seem too well-received. Jim: thanks for your note. Not really into Folk all that much either. More like Dylan, CSNY, Newgrass, Storyhill. And you repeated my question - - I see little if any spontaneous, laid-back, informal jamming at SH (which is what I think should be its focus), but maybe I just don't know where to look. Hope you guys are doing great.....Tom.

I think it would be great if there was a time and place where the newbie can get together with other newbies and jam. This would be a great help to us beginners and it will help in our playing if we could play with others. I am not sure if I would attend a jam with experienceed players, as I would probably make to many mistakes and be to slow on the uptake of some of the songs. But I think it would be nice to jam with someone, and to get use to playing with others.

Tom, I am not far from you as I live near Arapaoe Road and Colo. Blvd. I think it woul be good if we could get together sometime and talk and see if we could oplay together. I think we could get another one from my class to join us. Micheal is in my begining class and he is interested in doing the same thing.

Tim....Sounds good. Maybe we should think about a beer sometime to talk about playing (isn't there a sports bar at Dry Creek/University). Thanks....Tom.

Hey Kraig....I'm in the Highlands Ranch/Southpark area. Work in the Tech Center. I'd love to find people to get together with, play acoustic, learn some songs. Not a professional either, by any means. Feel free to use my email address (thfesq@aol.com), maybe we can arrange to get together and play. Thanks....Tom.
